The harmonies of Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock set them apart from the very beginning. Forming in 1975, Air Supply released their first single to critical acclaim, landing the No. 6 spot in Australia with “Love and Other Bruises.” After touring the country with Rod Stewart, Air Supply recorded and released a new album, Life Support, which included a Top 10 hit in Australia, “Lost in Love.” The song became the fastest selling single in the world at the time. The follow-up single, “All Out of Love,” went up the charts even quicker. In 1980, “Lost in Love” was named Song of the Year and Air Supply celebrated selling more than 10 million copies of their chart topping singles and more than 20 million copies of hit albums.
In 2010, Air Supply released the long-awaited album, Mumbo Jumbo, the group’s first studio recording in eight years. The album included the single, “Dance With Me,” which resulted in Billboard Magazine writing a featured article on the group titled, “Still Supplying The Hits After 35 Years.” The group was further honored in 2013 when it was announced that they would be inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame.
Treena Parvello, Director of Public Relations and Communications for the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise, said, “Air Supply is known for captivating audiences around the globe with their live performances. Desert Diamond Casino is excited to announce that Southern Arizona fans can now experience Air Supply in person on April 29 at the Diamond Center for only $25!”
