Two of Tucson’s award-winning downtown restaurants are hosting special dinners Valentine’s Day Weekend as they are serving their special menus Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14 from 5 to 10 p.m. The Cup Café and Maynards Kitchen spark excitement and continue to impress with their announcement of menus and whichever restaurant you make your special destination this Valentine’s Day, it’s going to be a treat. You’re guaranteed to charm your loved one with the menus, wine selections, and ambience at either restaurant.
Executive Chef Anthony Coluci of The Cup Café designed a romantic menu from appetizer to dessert. Wine lovers can also partake in suggested wine pairings, selected by The Cup Café’s in-house Sommelier Dale Riggins, which perfectly complement each menu item. © Appetizer: Croquettes with speck, braised cabbage, imported fontina cheese, roasted tomato sauce
© Entrees: Seared Pacific striped sea bass, cauliflower risotto, roasted cauliflower, picked butternut squash, parsley sauce, pistachio pesto or Cabernet marinated pan roasted organic duck breast, whipped sweet potatoes, sautéed green beans, fines herbes, cabernet reduction
© Dessert: Cast iron cherry pie for two, house-made cherry chocolate ice cream
Across the street the street at Maynards Kitchen, enjoy an enchanting evening with a menu prepared by their Executive Chef Michael Byrer. Choose between Dayboat Scallops or Surf and Turf for your entrée, and then try the savory Sweetheart Cake for Two for dessert. Their in-house Sommelier Steve Berger has carefully selected wine pairings for each item. Don’t wait until the last minute to make reservations as they are usually out of seats a week in advance.
