Fall Shows at Petroglyphs

Fall Shows at Petroglyphs Include Blacksmith Exhibition, Mexican Folk Art and More. Petroglyphs owner Jose Jimenez is pleased to announce the first of his exciting fall events will take place on Saturday, October 21st from 11am to 3pm, at the store located in the “Lost Barrio” at 228 South Park Avenue. Guests can enjoy live blacksmithing demonstrations by featured Artist Ira Wiesenfeld as he creates his signature art pieces; live music by AZTRAL Folk – Ethno- Psychedelic Fusion, and refreshments. There is no admission fee to attend this event.
The next event, the annual Urban Art Show, will take place on Saturday, November 4th at 6pm. A fitting tribute to the Day of the Dead celebrations, this show will feature the works of prominent local artists including Martin Quintanilla known for his unique Mexican folk and pop art motifs, Sam Esmoer, known for his unique “punk-rock” southwestern paintings, and Melo Dominguez, painter/muralist whose artwork is a direct expression of her Chicano/a culture, political issues, social and environmental issues. Music and refreshments will be offered. There is no admission fee to attend this event.
Located in the Lost Barrio Shopping District of Tucson at 228 S.
