Phoenix Boys Chorus

The Phoenix Boys Choir announces its 2015-16 Season, “Boy Can They Sing!” Led by Georg Stangleberger, the acclaimed Choir is comprised of over 100 young men ages 7 – 14 from all over the Valley. Tickets go on sale September 1 at www.PhoenixBoysChoir.org or by calling (602) 264-5328.

Winter Wonderland

‘Tis the season! Get into the spirit as the angelic voices of the acclaimed Phoenix Boys Choir perform a delightful array of holiday favorites. Audiences will be uplifted with traditional songs including We Three Kings, The Little Drummer Boy, O Tannenbaum, and Silent Night, as well as a new medley based on everyone’s favorite story of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. The highlight of the evening will be excerpts from Benjamin Britten’s magnificent Ceremony of Carols, culminating with a glorious performance of the Hallelujah! Chorus from Handel’s Messiah.

Join the Phoenix Boys Choir in this moving concert expressing mankind’s universal desire for peace on earth. With stunning beauty, the voices of the choir powerfully illustrate this dream with a selection of inspired choral masterpieces. The program features Haydn’s majestic Timpani Mass, written as war ravaged his homeland of Austria; I Never Saw Another Butterfly, a musical tribute to the children lost in World War II and Verleih uns Frieden (Grant Us Peace) by Heinrich Schütz, based on Martin Luther’s poignant text: “In these our days so perilous, Lord, peace in mercy send us”.

Villains and heroes, princesses and beasts! “Be our guest” as the Phoenix Boys Choir performs the most beloved songs from the world of Disney! This magical evening includes classics from our favorite animated films including The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast, as well as songs from the smash hit, Frozen. Audiences will be transported to the “happiest place on Earth” as the Choir performs other iconic themes including a rousing international rendition of It’s a Small World and the song from The Mickey Mouse Club. You’ll never want to “Let It Go!”
