Warner Books to Publish Book By Billy Crystal

NEW YORK, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Warner Books announced today that they have acquired a title by Billy Crystal. The book, to be called 700 SUNDAYS, is scheduled to be published in November 2005. 700 SUNDAYS is inspired by Crystal's phenomenally successful Broadway play of the same name.

A poignant and personal portrayal of his youth, Crystal's one man play has broken Broadway box office records and has been hailed as a triumph by everyone from the New York Times to Sports Illustrated. In translating the story into book form, Crystal will offer a deeply moving and entertaining look at his family history as he leads us all to consider our origins, our destinations and the people who mean the most to us along the way.

In making the announcement, Jamie Raab, Senior Vice President and Publisher said, "I have rarely come across a story that combines laughter and sorrow in such a powerful and graceful way. I am so proud that Warner will be publishing 700 SUNDAYS, making Crystal's brilliant work available to an even wider audience."

Billy Crystal said, "I couldn't be more pleased. My Broadway experience has been a once in a lifetime opportunity. Now I am thrilled to share the story in another way."

Laurence J. Kirshbaum, CEO and Chairman of the Time Warner Book Group added, "Billy Crystal has always used his extraordinary talent to connect with ordinary people. In 700 SUNDAYS, he has turned his family into a universal story that resonates with humor, memory, and love."

Warner Books is a division of the Time Warner Book Group, which is a unit of Time Inc.
