Joan Rivers & Melissa Rivers Make
Grand Return to the Red Carpet in
2005 to Host TV Guide Channel's
Golden Globes Pre-Show

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The red carpet will sizzle once again in 2005 as Joan Rivers and Melissa Rivers make their return to chronicle the Hollywood elite's sartorial hits and missteps during the 62nd Annual Golden Globe Awards. As the exclusive hosts of TV Guide Channel's LIVE pre-show coverage of the Golden Globes, the red carpet queens will be back in all of their opinionated splendor, giving today's celebrated film and television stars the chance to shine.

During TV Guide Channel's live coverage of the red carpet arrivals, Joan and Melissa will bring their no-holds-barred brand of humor to their style commentary. The pair will greet celebrities with their infamous catch-phrase, "Who are you wearing?" while critiquing the dazzling designer gowns, tuxedos, shoes, jewelry and accessories.

"Joan and Melissa are Hollywood's most iconic fashion critics, and they are back where they belong -- on the red carpet!" said TV Guide Channel General Manager Tom Cosgrove. "Audiences look forward to hearing their honest, witty, and hilarious critiques of red-carpet fashion and now their millions of fans can sleep well knowing the new year will get off to a more colorful start with Joan and Melissa's tell-it-like-it-is commentary. TV fans can also look forward to a few fun surprises, including interacting with Joan and Melissa in real-time, and weighing in on their picks and pans."

In a joint statement, Joan and Melissa offered, "Just when everyone thought it was safe on the red carpet ... we're baacckk!"

The 62nd Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place Sunday, January 16 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. TV Guide Channel's pre-show, JOAN & MELISSA LIVE AT THE GOLDEN GLOBES, will air live to the east coast Sunday, January 16 from 6-8 PM (ET/PT).

The 2005 Golden Globe Awards mark the debut of Joan and Melissa's red-carpet coverage for TV Guide Channel. In July, the pair left their longtime posts with E! Entertainment Television for a multi-year deal with TV Guide Channel, bringing their multigenerational star power to the network through award show coverage, as well as original series and specials related to fashion, lifestyle and entertainment news.
