The original "The Little Shop Of Horrors"

This is the original 1960 classic dark comedy of the Roger Corman classic about a nerdy flowershop clerk who grows a giant, man-eating plant and is forced to kill in order to feed it.

Seymour Krelboin is the hapless sap working in a skid row flower shop. He loves coworker Audrey Fulquard, but is close to losing his job.

Luckily, he discovers a new plant, and brings the sickly specimen to work, which impresses both Audrey and his boss, Gravis Mushnick. Mushnick makes Seymour's job contingent on the survival of the plant.

While Seymour works on this, he discovers the plant responds to blood and it talks! It tells him it needs more blood to thrive, and Seymour sets about the gruesome business of providing it.

Jack Nicholson makes his film debut as a dental patient who loves pain. The film was shot in two days and is considered one of Corman's best pictures.

A stage music of "The Little Shop of Horrors" was filmed in 1986. Also shown in a comouter-colored version.

The 1986 version was directed by Frank Oz and starred Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia, Steve Martin, James Belushi, John Candy, Christopher Guest and Bill Murray.
