This film was released the first week of January 1939 through Grand National Pictures, which promptly folded after two more releases, leaving this film in limbo until TV came along. Make no mistake about it, this is as a pleasing little picture as you could expect. Under director Charles Lamont, the entire cast from the leads, Gordon Jones, Marsha Hunt, C. Henry Gordon, Harry Davenport and George E. Stone through the bit players, noteably Dorthy Fay, Earle Hodgins, and Lee Phelps among them are uniformly excellent. The story is light-hearted and fun and purely entertaining. Highly recommended. Excellant print quality too.
