Yearwood Returns to the Stage for Fall 2005 Tour

MCA recording artist Trisha Yearwood hits the road again this fall after a three-year break from touring. The 27-date tour kicks off September 29th in Mesa, AZ, and continues through November with stops in Las Vegas, Atlanta and Atlantic City.

Yearwood is touring in support of her current hit single "Georgia Rain" from her upcoming album Jasper County, which hits stores September 13th.

On returning to the spotlight, Yearwood remarks, "It's just like coming home...I miss performing, and I do love the applause."

Known for her majestic voice, audiences can expect many of Yearwood's classic hits such as "She's In Love With The Boy," "The Song Remembers When," "XXX's And OOO's (An American Girl)," "Perfect Love" and "I Would've Loved You Anyway," as well as several new songs from Jasper County.

Yearwood also has several nationally-televised appearances scheduled, including The Today Show's wedding episode, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW, The Late Show with David Letterman, Good Morning America, The View and MARTHA. Among the many features and reviews set to run in major national publications, Yearwood will be featured on the cover of Redbook's October issue.

Yearwood burst onto the country music scene in 1991 with her self-titled debut and the #1 hit single "She's In Love With The Boy." She went on to record nine more albums and garner eight additional #1's. Since then, she has never had less than a Gold album.

The RIAA has presented her multiple certifications, including four Gold, four Platinum, a Double Platinum and one Quadruple Platinum award.

Yearwood holds back-to-back CMA awards for Female Vocalist of the Year for 1997 and 1998, and has been honored with three Grammy's as well as dozens of other trophies. She has performed at the Academy Awards, the Olympics and The White House.
