The Fremont Street Experience
Outside of the Las Vegas Strip, Downtown has it own attraction.
With its $70 million light canopy and 550,000-watt sound system, the Fremont Street Experience is the entertainment hub of Downtown Las Vegas.
The Experience is a high tech, stunning overhead light and sound show along enclosed Fremont Street.
Viva Vision show times are every hour on the hour from sunset to midnight.
Viva Vision's projection surface is currently the largest screen in the world. It spans 1,500 feet in length and contains 12.5 million synchronized LED lamps, including 180 strobes and eight robotic mirrors per block.
The first Fremont light show debuted in 1995. Since then, $17 million upgrades have improved the technology.
Throughout the night live music may be performing on either or outdoor both stages.
The Fremont Street Experience spans from the newly-renovated Plaza Hotel on one end to the Neonopolis shopping mall on the other end.
The enclosed overhang provides an open market feel for dozens of restaurants, stores and hotel-casinos along Fremont Street.
