Let in the holiday light! On Thursday, December 3, from 6 to 8 p.m., JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa is hosting its annual holiday tree lighting ceremony with special guests, including Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and KVOA’s Chief Meteorologist Matt Brode.
The resort will play host to the weather forecasts broadcast live on the KVOA six o’clock evening news, while the Reveille Men’s Chorus provides background music. With the conclusion of the weather reports, Tucson’s internationally recognized community chorus will begin their vocal performance.

The resort will be providing complimentary hot chocolate, hot apple cider, and cookies, while supplies last. Following the tree lighting, from 7 – 8 p.m., Starr Pass will host holiday recreational activities for all ages. Guests of the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa and members of the greater Tucson community are invited to join in this family-friendly seasonal celebration. Participants are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy for donation to Casa de los Niños.
Among the saguaros of Tucson Mountain Park, event participants can enjoy a delicious dinner afterwards at Primo or the newly renovated Signature. Those who make a long weekend of it can take advantage of the Holiday Gift special, which includes up to a $50 daily credit. For more information, call (520) 792-3500 or visit www.jwstarrpass.com.
