January 2008 Highlights

"Head Case"

In January, Starz Originals proudly presents the premieres of its two new comedy series Head Case and Hollywood Residential on Starz beginning Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

Head Case airs each Wednesday at 10 p.m. and features Alexandra Wentworth, Steve Landesberg and Michelle Arthur. Dr. Elizabeth Goode (Alexandra Wentworth) is a judgmental, unconventional but undeniably thriving “it therapist” to Hollywood’s celebrity elite.

Dr. Goode’s days are filled with a “who’s who” from the world of entertainment, sports and music. Hollywood Residential follows at 10:30 p.m. starring Adam Paul and Lindsey Stoddart. This single-camera half hour comedy follows a fictional, faltering celebrity home makeover show on a struggling home improvement cable network.
To coincide with Martin Luther King Day, Starz InBlack presents “Following the Dream” with titles about the Civil Rights struggle stacked Monday, January 21. Films include Our Friend, Martin (Danny Glover, Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey), Get on the Bus (Richard Belzer, De’aundre Bonds and Andre Braugher), Mississippi Burning (Gene Hackman, Willem Dafoe and Frances McDormand) and Ghosts of Mississippi (Alec Baldwin, Whoopi Goldberg and James Woods).
Starz also presents “Starz Saturday Premieres” with Bridge to Terabithia on 1/5 with Josh Hutcherson, Zooey Deschanel and Robert Patrick; Wild Hogs on 1/19 starring John Travolta, Tim Allen and William H. Macy; and The Lookout  on 1/26 with Joseph Gordon Levitt, Jeff Daniels and Carla Gugino.
Encore features George Clooney on Encore Spotlight with three of the actor’s films stacked Saturday, January 26 including O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Batman and Robin and From Dusk Till Dawn.
Finally, Starz InBlack gets “Close Up With…Eddie Griffin” on January 3 with Double Take, Irish Jam and Blast
