Leading Moviegoer Destination Signs Exclusive Domestic Agreement with Major Theater Chain, As 'The Dark Knight' Ticket Sales Surge
Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination, has reached an exclusive agreement with Reading International, one of the nation's major commercial and arthouse theater exhibitors.
Fandango provides online ticketing for more than 15,000 wired screens throughout the nation. By extending its reach to Reading International, Fandango increases its national footprint with even greater presence in New York, New Jersey, Texas, California and Hawai'i.
Reading International's new relationship with Fandango is just in time for the highly-anticipated Batman movie, "The Dark Knight" which opens tonight, starting at 12.01a.m., and currently accounts for more than 90% of all ticket sales at http://www.fandango.com/thedarkknight. The movie is playing at the following cinemas in Reading's family: Ward Cinemas (Honolulu), Mililani (Honolulu), Pearlridge (Honolulu), Kapolei (Honolulu), Kahala (Honolulu), Koko (Honolulu), Koolau (Honolulu), Kaahumanu (Maui), Kikui (Maui), Grossmont (San Diego), Townsquare (San Diego), Carmel Mountain (San Diego), Valley Plaza (Bakersfield), Rohnert Park (Rohnert Park), Manville (Manville, NJ), Cinemas 123 (New York City) and Angelika Film Center (Houston, TX).
