Cartwheelin’ kids raise funds to fight cancer

November 1, 2022

Forty-two young dancers will perform a Cartwheel-A-Thon to raise money for Dancers Against Cancer.

Each of the children on the Adaptive Force Performing Artscompetition team is collecting sponsorships and pledges. On Tuesday November 1, 2022, the performers will be given a two-minute time slot to see how many cartwheels they can do. For example, if they receive a $2 pledge per cartwheel from Grandma and complete 50 cartwheels in those two minutes, they raise $100 from the pledge.

“Dancers Against Cancer donated $5,000 to one of our families this month, says Amber Wittmers, owner of Adaptive Force Performing Arts. “One of their daughters has been battling cancer for a few years now, but recently had a few setbacks and has been at Phoenix Children’s (PCH) for more than a month now. A generous donation will help with costs related to the family’s stay at PCH.”

Dancers Against Cancer helps provide financial assistance to those in need in the dance community and join the fight against cancer. To donate directly to Dancers Against Cancer, visit imadanceragainstcancer.com. To sponsor a dancer, email [email protected] nsor a dancer, email [email protected].
