Cave Creek Museum and Kiwanis Family Fun Days present Earth Day in the Sonoran Desert
Cave Creek Museum will partner with Kiwanis Club of Carefree to present Earth Day in the Sonoran Desert on April 16, 2023 from 2-4 PM.
“Our desert is fragile, our resources precious,” says Evelyn Johnson, executive director for the museum. “Join Cave Creek Museum for Kiwanis’ Family Fun Day to learn how what you do makes a difference to our beautiful desert. Decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
During fun, interactive play, children and adults how kids can make a positive impact on the Sonoran Desert by small acts of conservation as part of their daily routine, like creating a take-home craft from recycled materials. Registration is required in advance by calling 480.488.3764. The cost is only $5 per child thanks to the ongoing support of Kiwanis of Carefree.
The 52-year-old museum’s mission is to preserve the artifacts of the prehistory, history, culture and legacy of the Cave Creek Mining District and the Cave Creek/Carefree foothills area through education, research and interpretive exhibits.
