Cave Creek Museum’s unique Southwestern and historically imaginative gift shop is a draw for residents and visitors during the museum’s season, which begins October 2, 2024.
According to Stacy Holland, gift shop manager, the shop has become a must-see for people touring and visiting the museum.
“Our wide array of books about Arizona and its history and illustrated children books featuring animal and plant stories appeal to those who tour our grounds,” says Holland. “We have beautiful Southwestern paintings, stuffed animals, fun accessories, clothing, jewelry and specialty desert-themed gifts. It is fun to see people get into shopping for gifts and treasures.”
In addition, the shop also now offers memberships starting at $50 per year with loads of benefits, ranging from free admissions and in-museum discounts, to free guest passes, discounts, one’s name on the distinguished donors wall and invitations to special events, among others. After all, says Holland, the gift of history is one of the greatest gifts a friend or family member can give to another.
“You don’t have to fight traffic or elbow your way into a shopper frenzy to find gifts for the special people in your life,” adds Holland. “Visitors are amazed at our museum collections and always are glad they visited, with many returning and bringing their friends and visiting family.”
The 54-year-old museum’s mission is to preserve the artifacts of the prehistory, history, culture and legacy of the Cave Creek Mining District and the Cave Creek/Carefree foothills area through education, research and interpretive exhibits.
The Cave Creek Museum is located at 6140 E. Skyline Drive in Cave Creek, Ariz. Open October through May. The museum can be reached at 480.488.2764 or cavecreekmuseum.org. Where History Comes Alive.
