Civic Orchestra of Tucson free Pops concerts

The Civic Orchestra of Tucson concludes its 2018-2019 season with two free Pops concerts, featuring winners of its 2019 Young Artists’ Competition.

Concert Dates/Times/Locations:

Date: Sunday, April 28, 2019
Place: Valley Presbyterian Church, 2800 S Camino Del Sol, Green Valley
Time: 3:00 pm
Soloist: Pianist Minu Kim, high school senior, winner of the Sr. Piano Division

Date: Sunday, May 5, 2019
Place: DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, Reid Park, 920 S Concert Place, Tucson
Time: 7:00 pm, with Musical Instrument Petting Zoo at 6:00 pm
Soloist: Violinist Jacqueline Rodenbeck, age 11, winner of the Jr. Strings Division

On the Program:
Light classical and popular music under the direction of Charles Bontrager, Music Director
Both concerts are free and no tickets are required.

The Civic Orchestra of Tucson, a community treasure since 1975, is a 75-member orchestra performing free concerts throughout the greater Tucson area.
