D-BACKS 2019 SPRING TRAINING SCHEDULE

Saturday, February 23, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - Sunday, March 24, 2019 @ 9:00 pm MST

The Arizona Diamondbacks announced their 33-game Spring Training schedule, which features 15 home games and one road game at the award-winning Salt River Fields at Talking Stick and two games to be played in Monterrey, Mexico. This season will mark the ninth year at the shared Spring Training facility with the Colorado Rockies, on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land near Scottsdale.

The D-backs open their 22nd Spring Training on Feb. 23 with the home opener against the Colorado Rockies at Salt River Fields. The D-backs have 10 games against their National League West rivals with four games against the Colorado Rockies and two games each against the San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Individual tickets for all games at Salt River Fields will go on sale to the public Jan. 5, 2019. Season-ticket plans for all Spring Training games at Salt River Fields featuring the D-backs and Rockies will go on sale to the public beginning Dec. 17. Salt River Fields is the first Spring Training facility built on Native American land. Owned by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, the 140-acre site near the Pima-Loop 101 Freeway and Talking Stick Way consists of separate training facilities and clubhouses accommodating each team as well as an 11,000-seat ballpark featuring a uniquely designed roof structure offering fans in the cross aisle plenty of shade. Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is a signature property within the Talking Stick Entertainment District, which is also home to Talking Stick Resort & Casino, Talking Stick Golf Club, OdySea Aquarium, iFLY indoor skydiving and much more.

Among the recent awards given to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick are “Best Spring Training Facility” by Arizona Foothills magazine for the sixth consecutive year, featured as one of the “25 must-see buildings in Arizona” by the Arizona Republic (2017), ”Best Cactus League Ballpark” by Ballpark Digest (2016 & 2017), “Best Spring Training Food” by Phoenix Magazine (2017), “Best Spring Training Destination” by Sports On Earth (2016), “#1 Spring Training Facility” by Concierges magazine, and “Best Place to See a Spring Training Game” by Phoenix New Times (2016). In 2014 Stadium Journey named Salt River Fields both the “Best Cactus League Ballpark” and “Top Stadium Experiences of the Year.” USA Today awarded Scottsdale the “Best Spring Training City” (2014) and in 2015 TripAdvisor gave the complex a Certificate of Excellence.

Salt River Fields has led the Cactus League in attendance for eight consecutive seasons, welcoming more than 300,000 fans each year and is still the only Major League Baseball Spring Training complex ever to eclipse 300,000 fans in a season. It is also the first Spring Training facility to receive a gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Program.
