Tucson, AZ. These two iconic figures have shared a musical and personal friendship for years, after becoming acquainted while McCoury was working with Bill Monroe in the 1960s. They performed together many times back in the day, well before either had become a household name. Through the years they have shared the stage at venues and festivals across the country and in 2012 released Hardcore Bluegrass, a unique collection of bluegrass classics celebrating a 50 Year friendship of two legendary musicians.
