In celebration of Tucson’s UNESCO City of Gastronomy designation, Hotel Congress and Maynards Market & Kitchen host culinary events to showcase the best that Tucson has to offer. This Fall boasts an exciting lineup of dining experiences that illustrate the deep roots of local cuisine and partnerships found in the restaurants of the East End. Guest Chef Dinner Series: Italy Meets AZ

In partnership with the University of Arizona College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, The Magellan Circle and Slow Foods, Maynards has created a new guest chef series inviting renowned chefs into the kitchen to collaborate and create a culinary masterpiece. In the first event of this series, Simona Fabrizio, Italian chef from Orvieto, has been invited to join Executive Chef Brian Smith in the kitchen to create a menu that shines a light on delicious Italian food created with local Sonoran ingredients. Join this exquisite six-course authentic Italian dinner for a dining experience to remember. MENU: Leading up to the dinner, Chef Simona will arrive in Tucson and begin exploring Sonoran delights with Chef Brian. In spontaneous and creative fashion, the chefs will design a menu that reflects the two worlds coming together in harmony. If you want to know more about this menu, you will have to take a seat at the table of this once in a lifetime event!
Whiskey Del Bac Dinner

Come and enjoy an evening of dining and Whiskey del Bac in Copper Hall and celebrate the launch of the hotel’s NEW private barrel whiskey, East End Reserve. This four-course culinary event presents perfectly paired fare with unique and remarkable cocktails designed by head mixologist David Clark. MENU FIRST Savory Sopapilla. Whiskey soaked fig stuffed with triple cream brie, duck lardons, rosemary preserve, pepita gremolata. Cocktail pairing: Del Bac “Dorado”, lemon, apple simple syrup, amerano cherries, Angostura bitters. SECOND Diver Scallop, Sweet corn blini, grapefruit mignonette, chive crème fraiche, smoked salmon roe.
