The Art of Healthy Living ends Jan. 21, 2018. Need inspiration for getting your family thinking more about healthy behaviors in the new year? Then be sure to visit our current exhibition. Take a visual journey that explores nutrition, exercise, mindfulness and overall wellness. Art, hands-on activities and movement stations focus on physical fitness, nourishment of both body and mind, creativity and meditation. The Art of Healthy Living exhibition is sponsored by the i.d.e.a. Museum Board of Directors, Inc., City of Mesa, Arizona Commission on the Arts, which receives support from the state of Arizona and the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional financial support for programs from The Steele Foundation, Gila River Indian Community and Season for Sharing.

Family Friday: Robo-lab 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. | Jan. 12 You’re invited to play! Start your weekend off on the right gear with this fun family workshop where you can learn and experiment together by coding with Ozobots, building with Hexbugs, racing with Spheros and more.

9 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Saturday, March 10
Take part in workshops, panel discussions and classes featuring topics such as creative self care, sex and intimacy after baby, parenting, relationships after baby, pregnancy loss and more. Also participate in some fun and revitalizing experiences, such as yoga and meditation, massage and reflexology for couples, and sound healing and dance. Please note: the museum will be closed to regular admissions on March 10 for this special event.
Open House Jan. 4
Embark on a learning adventure at ArtVille Academy. Museum educators provide lessons to help prepare your child(ren) ages 3-5 for a smooth transition to school. The curriculum in this 6-week series focuses on literacy, art, science and math. ArtVille Academy runs from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Thursdays. The next session takes place Jan. 11- Feb. 15, 2018. The open house is 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4. Visit the classroom to meet the teachers and learn more about the program.
The museum will be open on Sunday, Dec. 31, and closed on Monday, Jan. 1. Regular hours resume Tuesday, Jan. 2. Also, please note we are closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which is Monday, Jan. 15.
