Drumroll please… We’re thrilled to announce that our Opening Night program will take place at Santa Barbara’s historic Granada Theater (pictured above). Beginning in the 1920’s, this stunning cultural landmark was home to many silent film premieres and we’re delighted to be a part of its ongoing legacy.

Partner to Activate 2025 Festival Theme:LOOKING THROUGH THE LENS OF LOVE

ILLUMINATE Film Festival, the world’s leading showcase for films that support humanity’s collective awakening, announces a key partnership with the Holomovement for a second year. This creative collaboration combines ILLUMINATE’s mission of elevating human consciousness and inspiring lasting transformation through film with the Holomovement’s work catalyzing a critical mass of collaborative action toward creating a world that works for all. This year’s Festival theme, Looking Through the Lens of Love, is a call to action in response to the critical needs of our world.

The Glow Pass: Four days of inspiring in-person films, panels, and Reel Integrations, PLUS all parties, morning movement experiences and this year’s Holomovement Workshop! Seven days of virtual films and live on-line gatherings with visionary filmmakers and luminaries. Early Bird until Feb.16: $325

Industry Hive Pass: This full day festival add-on option features panels, presentations, and networking with industry leaders who will offer a comprehensive overview of today’s funding, production, and distribution landscape for transformational media. Limited seats available. May 1, 10 am – 4 pm. Early Bird until Feb.16: $95

ILLUMINATE Fim Festival 2025 Overview

After opening on May 1st at The Granada Theater, our Festival screenings will take place at the state-of-the-art New Vic Theater, also located in Santa Barbara’s historic Arts District. The ILLUMINATE Industry Hive (an optional add-on program with a separate pass) takes place on May 1st from 10 am to 4 pm, prior to the festival’s official opening night program. The Virtual Festival is May 5-11th. We look forward to seeing you everywhere all at once!
