International Boys And Men’s Choral Festival

Male singers from around the world will be participating in an eight-day festival that will take place in Arizona from July 9-16, 2019. The festival is highlighted by public performances in Flagstaff and Tucson.
The Tucson concert will be Sunday, July 14, 2019, 3:00pm at Crowder Hall in the UA Fred Fox School of Music. The festival program will feature individual performances by choristers from Yip’s Children’s Choir of Hong Kong, Ronald Cheung conductor; Boychoir of Ann Arbor from Michigan, John Boonenberg conductor; Princeton Boychoir from New Jersey, Fred Meads conductor; the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus and the Tucson Arizona Young Men’s Ensemble both conducted by Julian Ackerley.
Selections on the concert represent a wide range of style from classical to contemporary of the highest artistic quality and diversity of programming with distinctiveness to enhance audience appeal.
A grand finale of the combined choirs will conclude the concert with Credo (Missa Brevis Sancti Joannis de Deo) Franz Joseph Haydn; Always Something Sings, Dan Forrest; and the inspirational Like A Mighty Stream by Moses Hogan.
