Jubilate Choir Takes the Stage!

Tuesday, October 3, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - Sunday, October 8, 2017 @ 4:30 pm MST

On Tuesday, October 3rd, the Jubilate Choir will perform at the Chinese Moon Festival concert at Crowder Hall at 7:30 pm. The concert is presented by the Confucius Institute at the UA and Fred Fox School of Music. The harvest festival, celebrated in most East Asian countries, is the second most celebrated festival, next after the Chinese New Year. This concert is free and open to the public. The program includes Chinese instrumental music presented by students of Purple Bamboo Ensemble, musicians from Shaanxi Normal University and Confucius Institute, and Chinese choral music by Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus, Tucson Girls Chorus and Tucson Sino Choir.

Ladybugs and Hummingbirds Perform at PICOR Charity Event!
On Sunday, October 8th, the Ladybugs and Hummingbirds Choirs will perform at the PICOR Pancake Charity Breakfast at 11:00 pm at Reid Park (Ramada 1). The proceeds of this annual fund raising event go directly back into our community to those Tucson-area charities benefiting disadvantaged youth where a modest grant will make a significant difference. The event is open to the public. Tickets for breakfast can be purchased on the day of the PICOR event and the concert is free.

NEW Music Programs! Impact, Inspire, Motivate!
The Caterpillars are off to a great start! Children are introduced to music and develop the skills to play music through a series of age appropriate activities such as singing, moving, and focused listening. There is still room in the Caterpillar Choir for 4 and 5 year old boys and girls! Next class is Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 4:00 pm. Come see how music can positively influence your child’s development!

The Tutti Choir is still enrolling boys and girls with special abilities who are in the 2nd to 8th grades. Next class is Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 4:30 pm. Families are welcome to visit a rehearsal to see how this class can be a source of music, inspiration and growth in their child’s lives.
