47th Annual La Fiesta de Tumacacori – Celebrating the many cultures that were historically and presently associated with the Santa Cruz Valley, traditional creations of all the cultures including 50 food and craft booths, continuous live entertainment on stage and children’s activities. Free. Sat 10 am – 5 pm. Sun 10 am – 4 pm. 520-398-2341.
In recognition and celebration of the many cultures that were historically and are presently associated with the Santa Cruz Valley, the Tumacácori Fiesta presents the traditional creations of these cultures. The fiesta features around fifty food and craft booths, continuous live entertainment on stage, and activities for families each day. On Sunday, the day begins at 10:00 a.m. in front of the Visitor Center with a procession through the Fiesta grounds to the historic church, followed by a multicultural mass in front of the church. The mission grounds and park are open throughout the weekend and admission is free.
Procession and Mass – Celebrant Father Christopher Corbally The procession begins in the visitor center parking area at 10:00 then proceeds north and through the fiesta grounds. Mass begins when the procession arrives in front of the church, at approximately 10:30.
Tumacácori National Historical Park is located off of Exit 29 of Interstate 19, forty-five miles (80 kilometers) south of Tucson, Arizona, and eighteen miles (26 kilometers) north of Nogales, Arizona.
