LAS: Dusk Music Festival
Friday, October 6, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - Saturday, October 7, 2017 @ 11:00 pm MST
Living Streets Alliance (LSA) is pleased to provide free bicycle valet parking during the expanded Dusk Music Festival on Friday October 6th and Saturday October 7th. This free, secure bicycle parking service is sponsored by Ordinary Bike Shop and Pima Medical Institute.
Taking place in the fields of the historic Rillito Park, Dusk is a unique music festival that pushes boundaries by bringing to Tucson nationally recognized musical acts. Dusk offers something completely unexpected; an expertly curated event that stimulates the senses with delicious local foods, glorious weather, great people and amazing music. Every real city has a music festival – Tucson has Dusk!
Organizers of Dusk Music Festival encourage attendees to bike to the event. And when you arrive at Rillito Park, the free bike parking service will be located at the festival entrance. The service will be provided from 4pm to 11pm on Friday October 6th, and from 3pm to 11pm on Saturday October 7th.
The Living Streets Alliance Bike Valet service includes on-duty valet attendants to park and monitor bikes during the event, and lightweight, mobile, event racks that can park over 100 bikes reducing the carbon footprint of an event and negative traffic impacts on the surrounding neighborhoods.
Living Streets Alliance’s Bike Valet program is underwritten by Pima County’s Clean Air Program, the City of Tucson’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Program, and is sustained by event organizers or sponsors who in turn make the service free to attendees. The sponsors of the Dusk Music Festival bike valet service is Ordinary Bike Shop and Pima Medical Institute.
The Living Streets Alliance Bike Valet program is available to all festival and event organizers interested in “greening” their events. Quotes for event organizers are available by contacting Living Streets Alliance at 520-261-8777 or email [email protected]
The mission of Living Streets Alliance is to “promote healthy communities by empowering people to transform our streets into vibrant places for walking, bicycling, socializing, and play.” LSA is improving access for active modes of transportation in the region through outreach, education, advocacy and research.
