Old Tucson in May
Monday, May 1, 2017 @ 8:00 am - Friday, June 30, 2017 @ 5:00 pm MST
Old Tucson’s Chock-full of Events in the Month of May. We can’t think of a better place to be than Old Tucson next month! We’ve cooked up a full slate of special events, including Mother’s Day Weekend with free admission for women, a John Denver Tribute Dinner Show, and free admission for kids Memorial Day Weekend.
Here’s the scoop:
Mother’s Day Weekend Old Tucson is offering free admission for moms, daughters and someday moms Saturday, May 13, and Sunday, May 14. Treat Mom to a special Mother’s Day meal including succulent prime rib, baked potatoes and trimmings, and a fresh garden salad. Served 11 a.m.-4 p.m. in Big Jake’s BBQ restaurant, cost for the meal is only $18.95. A wine tasting including a souvenir wine glass will be offered both days.
On May 20, Old Tucson presents the music of the late John Denver as performed by Jim Curry, who has played sold-out shows throughout the country. Curry has an uncanny ability to mirror Denver’s voice and clean-cut look, taking audiences back to the time when “Rocky Mountain High” “Sunshine” “Calypso” and “Annie’s Song” topped the charts. Tickets to the dinner show are $48.50 plus tax and fees. Included as a special bonus is a ticket for two admissions to Old Tucson for a future visit. The evening includes a delicious dinner buffet. Gates open at 5:45 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are sold online only at oldtucson.com.
Plan your Memorial Day at Old Tucson’s signature Spring into Summer celebration. Enjoy the park’s live entertainment, children’s and historic walking tours and our popular petting zoo. Kids and adults can play games for prizes, and guests can dunk local celebrities in the dunking tank to help raise money for the Arizona-Sonora Western Heritage Foundation. A special flag ceremony will be held Friday-Sunday, and Marine Moms will join us as we remember our fallen heroes. Regular admission to Old Tucson is $18.95 for adults, and kids 11 and under get in free all weekend long! Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The last admission is at 4 p.m.
