Sahuarita based artist Pen Macias has teamed up with Tucsonan Wesley Fawcett Criegh to design a massive chalk-letter mural spelling out SAHUARITA. Attendees can watch the two artists complete the mural during the event.

PLEIN AIR PAINTING EXPERIENCE
The practice of “Plein Air” goes back for centuries but was truly made into an art form by the French Impressionists. Today, it’s a flourishing trend in the art world. Artists come together at the Art on the Lake Festival for a winter “paint out” to capture the beautiful Santa Cruz Valley at the Sahuarita Lake Park.
