Sea Of Glass: FourTissimo

Saturday, August 26, 2017 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm MST

On Saturday, August 26th the Sea Of Glass—Center For The Arts presents FourTissimo, a new collaboration of Gabriel Ayala, Will Clipman, AmoChip Dabney and Johnny Walker. Name any musical genre you can think of: from classical to pop, from jazz to rock, from world music to folk music, from funk to reggae, from blues to bluegrass—you’ll find flavors of all these styles and more in the eclectic and electrifying sound of FourTissimo. Four strong individual musical personalities converge in this ensemble to produce a bold new sound that is greater than the sum of its parts: in the course of a single performance, you’ll be inspired to dance to irresistible rhythms and be entranced by evocative melodies as FourTissimo moves seamlessly from heart-pounding grooves to sensitive ballads, encompassing a multifarious melange of original compositions and classic multi-genre covers. Drawing on its multi-instrumental palette of acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards, tenor and soprano saxophones, five-string bass, drums, pan-global percussion and vocals, FourTissimo provides a multicultural score for the movie that is playing on the insides of your eyelids!

FourTissimo features Gabriel Ayala on guitars and vocals; Will Clipman on drums, percussion and vocals; AmoChip Dabney on keyboards, sax and vocals; and Johnny Walker on bass and vocals. FourTissimo plays musica sin fronteras (music without boundaries): a convergence of infectious grooves and harmonious soundscapes that will move your body, engage your mind and satisfy your soul. FourTissimo’s premiere Tucson concert at the Sea Of Glass–Center For The Arts, with its impeccable acoustic environment, dramatic theatrical lighting and sprung hardwood dance floor, promises to be the don’t-miss musical event of the Old Pueblo summer!
