From the frosty winds of the Norwegian tundra to the flame of an Arizona sunset, the Chorale celebrates the natural world and mankind’s relationship with the earth and the heavens. The artistry of songs by Ola Gjeilo, Ēriks Esenvalds, and René Clausen brilliantly links our earthly roots with our spirit through the beauty of song.

Cold winds may not often blow into the Valley of the Sun, but we still need the warmth of music like Cecilia McDowall’s A Winter’s Night. Join the Chorale as they gladden hearts with traditional carols, brass and organ selections, plus, of course, the delight of singing together in our annual audience sing-along. Come celebrate the joy of the season!

Music can set alight the human spirit. The “wonders of Heaven and Earth” are reflected in a Mass for the Ages, a unique compilation of the liturgy of the Mass as written by classical and contemporary composers. And, the Chorale, accompanied by organ and orchestra, performs Dan Forrest’s stunning narrative on pain and loss tempered with the promise of joy and hope – Requiem for the Living.

Haunting melodies, exciting rhythms, and rich musical traditions, reflecting the diversity of our cultures and the harmony of our spirits, infuse the Americas from the frigid fjords of Nunavut, Canada to the tip of Tierra del Fuego. The Sonoran Desert Chorale closes its season with music from North and South America, the lands between the oceans.
