TBFC: “The People Under the Stairs”

Saturday, October 21, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm MST

The Tucson Black Film Club presents “The People Under the Stairs” on Saturday, October 21, 2017, 1-4 p.m at The Dunbar Cultural Center, 325 West 2nd St, Tucson, AZ 85705.

In this 1991 comedy horror film, a teenage African American evicted from his ghetto home breaks into the house of his former white landlords. He’s looking for treasure but he and you are in for a shock at what he discovers inside. The film foreshadows this year’s Get Out and was directed by Wes Craven.

Donations are accepted for screenings and everyone is welcome. Light refreshments will be served. A discussion follows the screening.

Contact Debi Chess Mabie at (847) 312-9982 for more information. The Tucson Black Film Club website is on facebook and at http://tucsonbfc.weebly.com/.
