Special care kids become our own Little Heroes!

Several handpicked children receiving unique pediatric care will receive the VIP treatment at this year’s Tucson Comic-Con (TCC). Working with Diamond Children’s Hospital, Tucson Medical Center, and Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation, TCC hopes to bring an amazing time to these children and their families.

“This year we are honored to bring back a special VIP program for pediatric patients called Little Heroes,” says Tucson Comic-Con Cosplay Coordinator Dustin Dial. “Tucson Comic-Con is one of the only cons in the country that works in cooperation with local children’s hospitals to bring a special hour of heroism to these kids who define strength.”

Members of Arizona’s professional costuming groups from every fandom will be there to greet families personally and usher them into the convention experience. Many of these groups visit the children periodically at Diamond and other hospitals throughout Arizona.

This is the third year the TCC has worked with Diamond Children’s Hospital to bring special care children the joy of comic con. Participants get early access to the first floor to interact with all the costuming groups, along with a tour, swag bags, and personalized pictures.
