Nickelodeon’s very own Yvette Nacer releases her newest single and music video “Who We Were Before.” Written as a lullaby and on a Tres Cuban (little Cuban guitar), “Who We Were Before” is the most stripped down single that Yvette has ever put out. Struggling through a difficult and dark time in her past, Yvette needed to express her pain and hopefulness in song, which eventually led to the song writing itself and acting as a healing process for Yvette.
Known for her role as Kiki in The Emmy-Winning Series The Fresh Beat Band, Cuban-American artist Yvette Nacer has been immersed in a musically diverse world that has established her early on in her career as a rarity within the entertainment industry. Armed with a versatile voice, a unique perspective, and a raw, unfettered talent that weaves itself effortlessly in her music, Yvette has performed alongside some of the biggest names in music, including Jason Mraz, Wyclef Jean, All-4-One, Ne-Yo, Gloria Estefan, Engelbert Humperdink, Justin Bieber, among others.
Although her music has been heard in a variety of Film & TV Shows, Yvette’s talent has crossed over in acting as well. Appearing in such coveted roles as Cha Cha in FOX’s star-studded cast of Grease: Live, Vanessa in the 1st National Tour of In The Heights and is currently voicing the role of Phyllis in Disney’s Goldie and Bear.
