Foster City Entertainment Magazine

Foster City is named after the town's developers, T. Jack Foster and his sons. The planned development was built in the 1960's from engineered landfill in the San Francisco Bay marshes on the east edge of San Mateo.

Foster's sucessor firm, Foster Enterprises, run by is descendents, is active in the Bay Area's real estate affairs. As a planned community, Foster City has more than 100 acres of parks, and a 212-acre man-made enclosed lagoon system.
