A Bear Named Winnie
Based on the true story of a Canadian soldier, enroute to World War I from Winnipeg, who adopts an orphaned bear cub at White River Ontario. It is namned Winnie (for Winnipeg) and eventually ends up at the London Zoo where it became the inspiration for A.A.Milne's Winnie The Pooh stories.

11/8 TALES FROM AVONLEA (Not Rated) Based on the short stories of Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery, this award-winning live-action series is set in the village of Avonlea on picturesque Prince Edward Island circa 1910. In the midst of the Island’s pastoral charm comes ten-year-old Sara Stanley, a wealthy, pampered child sent to live with her mother’s relatives when her widower father loses his financial empire. TALES FROM AVONLEA follows the adventures of Sara and her young friends as they involve themselves in the romances and conflicts of the adults in the community. Sara Stanley comes of age in an environment filled with family, friends and foes. Amazing events follow as Sara gets acquainted with her emotionally guarded guardian, Aunt Hetty, and feuds and frolics with her prank-playing cousins, Felix and Felicity.

11/8 CHIP ‘N’ DALE: RESCUE RANGERS (Rated: TV-Y) In this fun animated series, the venerable chipmunk pair are leaders of a secret international organization devoted to tackling unsolved mysteries and oddball crimes. Other members of the Rangers include Monterey Jack, Gadget and Zipper, as they battle Fat Cat and his cohorts.

11/8 DUCKTALES (Rated: TV-Y) In the animated series DUCKTALES, Scrooge McDuck’s innate sense for making money leads him to outrageous adventures in his Duckburg home and around the world. Also along for the amazing excursions are Webbigail Vanderquack, Gyro Gearloose, Mrs. Beakley and the villainous Beagle Boys.

11/8 FIVE MILE CREEK (Not Rated) For the first time on DVD, fans can collect the entire first season of Disney’s FIVE MILE CREEK. Adapted from famed Western writer Louis L’Amour’s novel, this television series tells the exciting story of settlers who attempt to tame the Australian wilderness and get a stagecoach line working. This family-friendly Disney series was filmed on location in Australia. FIVE MILE CREEK is available in a four-disc DVD set.
