Using Quicktime to watch movies

Quicktime is a free program for both Windows PC and all Apple Macintosh computers. Most newer computers already have this program installed.

If installed, the movie should start to play within a minute or two (a buffer needs to build up to start the streaming play) depending on the speed of your modem.

If not installled, you will see a broken "Q" image in the middle to the page. You will need to go to the Apple Computer site to download and install Quicktime for free

.Some movies may play using WIndows Media Player. Many movies linked from this site also use streaming video which makes it possible to play movies without needing software installed.

Some people report problems while using the Safari brower (Macintosh). There may be a conflict with Quicktime. Try this:

1. open your hard drive in Finder
2. browse to Library
3. go to Internet Plugins folder
4. delete "quicktimeplugin.webplugin" folder (i.e. drag it to Trash)
5. re-launch browser

Entertainment Magazine is able to provide these free movies because of available free technology from apple.com, archive.org and our affiliates.
