Who would have thought you could enjoy spectacular wine in Texas? Last month the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau offered a Jazz Wine Train. This memorable evening included incredible Jazz as you step back in time on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad.
The captivating experience featured five glasses of wine (3oz servings each), a delicious box dinner from a Grapevine restaurant and live jazz entertainment, all in the beautiful setting of the historic Grapevine Vintage Railroad.
Grapevine was named for the wild Mustang grapes that were abundant when settlers first arrived more than 160 years ago. Today, Texas is the 5th largest wine-producing state in the nation.
Also in Grapevine, you can sample and purchase some of the finest wines produced in Texas. Grapevine is the center of the wine experience in North Texas.
They have an urban wine trail which features nine winery tasting rooms, it also takes you on a journey from historic farmsteads to French style chateaus.
Most of the winery tasting rooms are located in Historic Grapevine Township, making it very easy to leisurely stroll between venues. Several also offer live entertainment and unique dining experiences.
