Macy's is the official retail location that stocks the Sean John Collection brand of apparel, jewelry, and fragrances, including "If I Were King."
Sean John officially invaded Canada. Aided by appearances by Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, Sean John apparel hit Montreal, Quebec, on March 28th and Toronto, Ontario, on March 29th, 2005. In both cities, Mr. Combs conducted several interviews with various media outlets, appeared on local television programs, and met with key retailers in the area. The Canada tour was meant to bolster sales in the region, where Sean John currently sells mostly at independent boutiques and at many of the best athletic chains in the country, such as Athlete's World, Footlocker, and the premiere sporting store, The Sporting Life. In addition, Holt Renfrew, Canada's ultimate luxury specialty store, will begin selling Sean John Collection, Sean John's designer collection. While in Canada, Mr. Combs will appear on Musique Plus and Much Music, the region's equivalents to MTV's "TRL." He will also speak with several key Canadian publications, such as Macleans Magazine, The Globe and Mail, and Flare Magazine. In the retail area, Mr. Combs met with David Margolis, President of department store Les Ailes de la Mode, and Caryn Lerner, President of Holt Renfrew. Additionally, two lucky contest winners will receive a chance to meet with Mr. Combs. To conclude the Canada tour, Mr. Combs will throw a party in true "P. Diddy" fashion. Beginning at hot spot Rosewater Supper Club in Toronto, the action will then move to Metro. "Sean John's took over Canada!" exclaimed Mr. Combs. Sean John Names Dawn Robertson PresidentSean John, the world's fastest growing line of sportswear for men, has announced Dawn Robertson as its new president, effective immediately. In this role, Robertson will work directly with Sean "Diddy" Combs, founder and chief executive officer, and will be responsible for all areas of Sean John operations. Robertson, a widely respected apparel industry executive most recently served as president of Old Navy where during her two-year tenure, she repositioned and stabilized one of the largest specialty companies in the world. Previously, Robertson was managing director of Australia's leading department store, Myer, where she developed and executed new strategies, enhancing the image and profitability of the department store. Before Myer, Robertson served as president and chief merchandising officer of Federated Direct, a division of Federated Department Stores overseeing the online and catalog businesses for Macy's and Bloomingdale's. She has also held senior positions at Federated Merchandising Group and the May Company.
