The Prowlers, who will celebrate their sixth anniversary this summer, were recently honored in their hometown with a coveted Chicago Music Award.  They competed in a category that included several mainstream, signed bands and were named alongside Jennifer Hudson and the Smashing Pumpkins—winners in their respective categories.  Henhouse Prowlers also performed at the awards show.  Nearly 200 artists in 43 genres, including pop, reggae, blues, jazz, rock, gospel and more, compete annually in this event. Henhouse Prowlers also won Best Bluegrass Group in the International Acoustic Music Awards in February.  The organization, based in Florida, promotes excellence in Acoustic Music Performance and Artistry worldwide.
