Celebrate Mother's Day in Tucson with special events

Mother's Day in Tucson is often spent at a brunch buffet or special community activity. This year, there are numerous events happening throughout Tucson and Southern Arizona on this Mother's Day Sunday, May 14, 2017. Father's Day events in Tucson are held June 18, 2017.

Community Sports Events

  • Tucson 5000 Run/Walk – Reid Park, pancake flat, one of the fastest 5K in the west, pancake-flat, part of the 2017 Running Shop Grand Prix, also a kid’s race, benefits Pima Community College Cross Country Team, $20-25, 7 am, 520-326-9383.
  • Mother's Day 5k Run for Fun at Gladden Farms Community Park, 12205 W. Tangerine Farms Rd., Marana. Walk/run/Jog beginning at Gladden Farms Park. This event is Fun for the whole family. All moms will get a flower at the finish line. Snacks and refreshments provided. All participants will be entered to win great raffle prizes. Register online (or on the day of the race). Check-In/Registration at 7:30am; Race begins at 9:00am. $20 for ages 13 and up; $15 for children 12 and under.

Community Family Events

  • Mother’s Day Weekend Old Tucson is offering free admission for moms, daughters and someday moms Saturday, May 13, and Sunday, May 14. Treat Mom to a special Mother's Day meal including succulent prime rib, baked potatoes and trimmings, and a fresh garden salad. Served 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Musical Mayhem Cabaret presents Keepin' It Classy: A Night of Classic Broadway for all ages old and young., ONE PERFORMANCE ONLY at 6pm at Unscrewed Theater.
  • ARIZONA ROSE THEATRE presents “Rock On Broadway” Sunday at 2pm at the ARIZONA ROSE THEATRE.

Musical Events

  • Lisa Otey and The Desert Divas Special Mother's Day Concert at the The Gaslight Music Hall, two show at 2PM & 6PM.
  • Music Under the Stars at Reid Park, 900 S. Alvernon. 7:00pm. Free but limited seating at DeMeester fills up quickly. Bring folding chairs or a blanket. The Parks and Recreation Department runs shuttles from 5 PM to 10 PM from Randolph Golf Course Parking Lot located at 600 S. Alvernon Way.
  • Tucson Girls Chorus Spring Concert to be held at 3:30 pm at The Fox Theater. Join us in celebrating the spring season with the TGC at the Fox Theatre featuring the five River Road Choirs and three Engagement Choirs.

Mother's Day Brunches

  • Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort features a Mother's Day brunch buffet and an array of delicious desserts. The brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. $49 for adults, or $19 for children.
  • Maynards Market & Kitchen, 400 N. Toole Ave., Tucson TIME: 9:00am 3:00pm. $49/person. RSVP at 520-545-0577.
  • Reid Park Zoo Mother’s Day Breakfast from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM/ Treat your Mom to a special day.

Mother's Day Events in Southern Arizona

  • PATAGONIA: Skyline Flutes Quartet - Benderly-Kendall Opera House. Jerry Ervin, Christine Harper, Fran Moskovitz & Sandra Schwoebel. Since 2009, southern Arizona's only professional flute quartet. $20-23. 3 pm. 520-394-0129 or 888-202-1942.

Mothers Day Events in Arizona

  • CLARKDALE: The 2nd Annual Verde Valley Wine Festival, presented by Four Eight Wineworks in collaborative partnership with the non-profit arts organization, Made in Clarkdale, is Northern Arizona's premier wine and culinary event of the year. The event returns to the Clarkdale Town Park in historic Clarkdale, Arizona over Mother's Day Weekend, May 13 and May 14, 2017 from 1 PM - 5 PM.
