Brown Mackie College – Tucson Launches New Associate of Science Degree Program in Computer Networking

BROWN MACKIE COLLEGE – TUCSON TO CELEBRATE MILESTONE GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION

Brown Mackie College – Tucson will hold its grand opening festivities and ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, July 15, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at 4585 Speedway Boulevard in Tucson. The school boasts 30,000 square feet of classroom, laboratory, and office space and to serve the school's 500 students.

"This will be an exciting day for our community and for Brown Mackie College –Tucson," said Holly Helscher, President of Brown Mackie College – Tucson. "This well equipped facility will further improve the academic environment we offer to our students so they can continue to be contributing members of our society, and specifically the Greater Tucson community. Additionally, we are extremely proud to be a member of Tucson community, providing academic programs to students from the surrounding communities."

Tucson Mayor Robert E. Walkup; Jack Camper, President & CEO, The Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, and representatives from the offices of Congressman Raul Grijalva and Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords are expected to attend the ceremony and join Brown Mackie College – Tucson President Holly Helscher, faculty, staff, and students, and other local dignitaries and community leaders in celebrating this important milestone for Brown Mackie College – Tucson.

Brown Mackie College – Tucson is now offering an Associate of Science degree program in Computer Networking & Security.

The new program provides students with the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills, practice, and professionalism necessary to prepare students to pursue entry-level positions as networking specialists, networking technicians, and network troubleshooters.  The program requires 96 quarter credit hours and 1,248 contact hours.

The program is designed to provide students with a rigorous technical preparation for working computer professionals who seek to enhance their technical knowledge. Find out more about Brown Mackie College. (Tucson, AZ – July 6, 2009)
