While the new iPhone is especially pricey compared to other smartphones, Apple offers some competitive features that beat today's phones.

Apple boasts of a slimmer model (11.6mm), with a larger screen size (3.5 inches), a glass display surface (as opposed to plastic), longer talk time (nearly doubled) and wireless access only matched by the Nokia N85.

The competitors don't disclose the amount of time the battery uses during Internet use or video or aduio playback. Apple estimates about 6 hours of Internet usage, 7 hours of video playback and 24 hours of audio playback before needing a battery recharge. See the Battery Life Chart for details.
