Marana gets a Tower Movie Theater
The first movie theater in Marana, and Tucson area's only locally owned first-class run theater, opened recently. The owners are the same group who own the Grand Cinemas in Tucson, AZ. The new Tower Theatres is located at 8031 N. Business Park Drive in the Arizona Pavillions, near I-10 and Cortaro Road. Residents in Continental Ranch and Continental Reserve, and Marana, will mainly visit the theater.
The Tower Theatres shows newly released films. The movie theatre opened December 7, 2007, the same day the animated film “The Golden Compass” opened.The 540,000-square-foot theater has 12 screens and 21,000 seats Movie ttickets will cost $9 for adults, $8 for students, $6.50 for seniors and $5 for children.  Life in Marana, Arizona keeps developing and so will more entertainment venues.
As more people live outside the Tucson, AZ city limits, on Pima's County's northwest side, the need for, at least, one local Marana movie theater is obvious.
With the opening of the new Tower Theaters, Marana residents don't have to drive to AMC Theater at the Foothills Mall, the closest movie theater in the Tucson area.
