Our Rattlesnake & Toad Avoidance Sessions help dogs learn to steer clear of rattlesnakes and Colorado River toads—by recognizing their scent, sound, and sight.

Held on Sundays, September 21st, October 12th and November 9th from 7:00–10:00 AM at Sol Dog Lodge, 11862 N. Tangerine Business Loop, Marana. Register with Animal Experts: 520-272-1825

RATTLESNAKE Avoidance Classes

Sol Dog Lodge has partnered with Animal Experts to offer Rattlesnake Avoidance classes for our clients. Animal Experts are wildlife specialists with over 30 years of experience in humane animal control and the largest provider of these classes in Southern Arizona. Dogs must be at least 6 months old, have some leash experience, come with a 5-6 foot leash. No retractable or choke collars, please. If you have an older dog or health concerns, please reach out to Lee at Animal Experts.

All sessions will be held outside at Sol Dog Lodge and Training Center,
11862 N. Tangerine Business Loop, Marana, AZ 85658. The cost is $125 per session, paid directly to Animal Experts. For Animal Experts’ previous clients only, there is a discounted rate of $75. There is not a discounted fee for multiple dog households.

Colorado River Toad/Sonoran Desert Toad avoidance training is also available before/during Monsoon season for a separate fee and cannot be held on the same day as you complete the rattlesnake avoidance session.
