Have you been to Second Saturdays downtown recently? We love everything that these events bring to the neighborhood and starting next month, the Fox is getting in on the action with our Music and Movies series. Every month we’ll be pairing one-of-a-kind performances by local music artists with a music themed film.

Music: Raised in the swamps of New Jersey, Eric Schaffer has been recognized as one of Southern Arizona’s favorite singer/songwriters. He has been a finalist in the Great American Song Contest, the Passport To Nashville songwriting contest, a three-time Tucson Folk Festival songwriting competition finalist, and the winner of the 2022 Tumbleweed Music Festival songwriting contest.

Eric performs regularly with his band The Other Troublemakers, featuring cowpunk pioneer guitarist Loren Dircks, bassist Jess Barrera and drummer Daniel Thomas.

Movie: O Brother, Where Art Thou? The comical film is set in rural Mississippi during the 1930s, and it follows three escaped convicts searching for hidden treasure while a sheriff relentlessly pursues them.
