HAMMBONE’S…A Meat and Three Joint Opens
HAMMBONE’S…A Meat and Three Joint will open in Tucson on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 10:00AM with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Tucson chef and owner CJ Hamm, dignitaries and the public will participate. “Southern meat-and-three” is both a place and thing, traditionally a lunch spot that serves a variety of entrees and side dishes. HAMMBONE’S is a scratch kitchen restaurant preparing and serving a varied menu of main course selections coupled with three customary Southern sides.
Owner CJ Hamm spent time in Nashville and experienced “the meat and threes” restaurants and brings the concept to Tucson. The daily menu offers all scratch-made comfort foods with a rotating chef’s choice menu featured throughout the week. All meals are prepared in-house with fresh and natural ingredients including farm-fresh eggs in the meatloaf to organic onions in the smothered pork chops. Hammbone’s offers an extensive menu daily featuring smothered pork chops, tender pot roast, baked chicken, and flavorful lemon sole. Side dishes include mac-n-cheese, mashed potatoes, corn, black-eyed peas, collard greens and rice. In-restaurant dining is available in a casual atmosphere. Family style meals are available for both dining in and takeout.
CJ Hamm – Executive Chef/Owner of Hammbone’s…A Meat & Three Joint – is also co-owner of Saguaro Corners and Mulligan’s Sports Grill. A Tucson native, Chef Hamm has been involved in the restaurant and hospitality business since 1995 as a kitchen worker, food writer at Tucson Weekly and Tucson Foodie, and competition judge plus stints at Jackson Tavern and Red’s Smokehouse + Tap Room.
