The on-air portion of KXCI’s Year-End drive will begin on Tuesday, December 3rd, and continue through Saturday, December 14th. The first day of our on-air drive on December 3rd is #givingtuesday. Giving Tuesday is a day where we can connect during a global day of generosity. Together, we can celebrate what makes KXCI an integral part of your every day, bringing you the great music and community voices that meet you wherever you are.
Join a movement that envisions a world rooted in compassion, shared humanity, and a spirit of giving.
KXCI is proud to be part of Tucson and Southern Arizona’s rich ecosystem of nonprofits. On this day of global giving we can celebrate KXCI’s part in supporting nonprofits in our community. Because of you, KXCI is able to make a difference by sharing Community Impact Announcements for local nonprofits amplifying community voices. This year alone, KXCI DJs have broadcast over 10,000 messages from more than 100 organizations, keeping you informed about local arts and culture, the environment, social services, education, health, and so much more. If you’re part of a nonprofit, you can always share your events in our online events calendar. You can also submit a Community Impact Announcement for possible on-air mentions!
Your support also sustains programs like The Nonprofit Spotlight, sponsored by the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, which shines a light on local organizations all year round. Thank you for helping us make a real, lasting impact in our community.
You can supercharge our upcoming December Drive by making a special matching gift of $1000 or more. Matches motivate, matches inspire, and matches create a sense of community and camaraderie. When you make a challenge gift, KXCI listeners will meet your challenge with an exciting flurry of additional gifts. Your donation will go even further by catalyzing more support for KXCI. With your matching gift, and KXCI Tucson 91.3 FM’s music and programming, we’re all better together! Make your gift here or contact Amanda@kxci.org to make arrangements for a special gift.

Everyone is welcome to come and say hello at the KXCI tent from 8 am to 4 pm on November 23rd at the El Tour Expo & Fiesta at the Tucson Convention Center. We’ll be in front of the Tucson Convention Center, sharing music and community and celebrating Team KXCI. Here’s why KXCI Music Director Duncan Hudson is riding for Team KXCI:
“In the spirit of remembrance and community, I’ll be riding for KXCI for the 3rd year in a row in El Tour de Tucson in honor of my friend and mentor, Papa Ranger. He was a former KXCI DJ on The Reggae Connection and a huge proponent of Caribbean culture and music in Tucson who passed away in 2022. Once again, I’ll be riding with Papa’s picture on my back and dub reggae tunes cranking on my bike to encourage me on the route. You can help fuel my ride, and others as well, with your donations. With gratitude and abrazos, Duncan”

KXCI Presents! Iris DeMent Giveaway Contest at Rialto Theatre Tuesday, December 3rd
KXCI Presents! Iris DeMent is a singer and songwriter with an inimitable voice and unforgettable melodies rooted in hymns, gospel, and old country music. On her transcendent new record, Workin’ On A World, Iris DeMent faces the modern world — as it is right now — with its climate catastrophe, pandemic illness, and epidemic of violence and social injustice — and not only asks us how we can keep working towards a better world, but implores us to love each other, despite our very different ways of seeing. Her songs are her way of healing our broken inner and outer spaces.
