Wendy Lotze, board member of the Southwestern Mission Research Center, will give an overview of these important historic monuments. Learn about the history of the Southwest borderlands and how you can experience these culturally valuable sites.

Trunk Show | Local Artist Expo

Shop the exciting work of several local artists: David and Kay Boswell of  Sonoran Laser Creation, Randy Lewis of Rusted Desert Metal Art, and Cecilia Pfeiffer de Widt of Crooked Finger Digital Art and Storyteller. Each artist works with a different and fascinating medium, inspired by the beauty of the world around them. Whether you’re curious about metalwork, storytelling, laser wood carvings, or digital art, there’s something for everyone at this eclectic expo. Enjoy Cecilia’s talk, “Art Tells a Story,” at 11 AM and 2 PM both days.

With 35 years of National Park Service experience and management, Butch Farabee will introduce you to the basic inner workings of our national parks and the agency that manages them.

Retired park superintendent Deb Liggett is a 25-year veteran of the National Park Service and has worked in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Minnesota, Texas, and Wyoming. She will share what it’s like to work for the National Park Service and read from her book, Pilgrim, Paddler, Poet: The Ranger Chronicles: Tales from a Life in the National Parks, a must-read for rangers, aspiring rangers, armchair travelers, and lovers of the nation’s parklands.

In-Person Film Screening | Bears by Disneynature

This nature documentary tracks a mother brown bear, Sky, and her two newborn cubs, in the Alaskan wilderness. Experience an adventure story about the love, joy, struggle, and strength necessary for Sky to raise her family in the great outdoors.
