Cave Creek Museum and Kiwanis Family Fun Days present an Archaeology Expo
On Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 9 AM-2 PM, the Cave Creek Museum will partner with Kiwanis Club of Carefree to present an Archaeology Fair at the museum.
“Join local organizations from 10 AM-2 PM to learn about the archaeology of the Cave Creek area through informational booths and speaker presentations. Presenters include Scott Woods from 2-3 PM in the historic church on property. In addition, the Desert Foothills Chapter of the Arizona Archaeology Society Desert Awareness committee will present a pottery demonstration and the museum will teach split twig figure and beading. In addition, the museum will showcase an art demonstration and an excavation activity so children can conduct a mock dig.
No registration is required.
The 52-year-old museum’s mission is to preserve the artifacts of the prehistory, history, culture and legacy of the Cave Creek Mining District and the Cave Creek/Carefree foothills area through education, research and interpretive exhibits.
