Cathey’s Sewing & Vacuum presents Christmas in July with an all new format.
The completely customized two-day class, Kimberbell’s Winter Wonderland, benefits United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Arizona. Starting July 7, students will enjoy hands-on learning by stitching through projects with their classmates in a fun- filled team-sewing environment. The challenge is to create wheelchair and walker bags that will be donated to individuals served by United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Arizona.
“Cathey’s is thrilled to partner with all the sewing, quilting, embroidery and crafting communities in Southern Arizona to support UCPSA in developing wheelchair and walker bags that will brighten the days of children and adults that have physical disabilities.” says Carly Cathey-Timpf, Director of Operations at Cathey’s. On Saturday July 9th, there will be a challenge showcase with categories including everything from, “Best use of UCPSA Logo Colors” to “Most Creative”. Winners will be announced at the event and cash prizes will be awarded.. There will also be a rare summer-appearance from Santa Claus.
